 Process Control surveys improve control system  performance by identifying and correcting control loop performance problems. The survey tasks include measuring process and product variability,  identifying control loop health problems, retuning control loops where appropriate, evaluating control strategy design and identifying process design problems that are degrading control performance.  The benefits include improved product quality, increased production rates and reduced operating costs. 

Time Series Analysis software provides a powerful analytical basis for characterizing process variability, investigating process relationships and judging control loop performance. The most important tools are trend plots, power spectrum plots, cross correlation plots. Often,  time series analysis of process data provides important clues  about the source(s) of process and product variability.
